TDC Proposes New Business Park in Karns Area

A public input meeting will be held on Tuesday October 22nd to provide information about the project and proposed rezoning.

The Development Corporation of Knox County has submitted an application to the Knoxville-Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission to rezone approximately 70 acres along the south side of Garrison Drive to Employment Center zoning for the purpose of developing a new business park. Planned access to the site is by way of the proposed Karns Valley Drive connector which will link Hardin Valley Road to Oak Ridge Highway through WestBridge Business Park.

You are invited to attend a public input meeting on Tuesday, October 22, in the Karns High School auditorium anytime between 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Representatives from The Development Corporation of Knox County will there to provide information and gather your input concerning their request to rezone the property.

This rezoning request will be considered by The Metropolitan Planning Commission at its November 14, 2013 meeting in the large assembly room of the City County Building located at 400 Main Street. The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m.
