Harry L. Boston, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of Boston Government Services, LLC (BGS), an award-winning, minority owned engineering, technology, and security firm headquartered in Oak Ridge Tennessee.
Dr. Boston began his career as a research scientist at the University of Wisconsin and came to Tennessee as a Research Scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has over 30 years of experience in leading large and complex engineering and environmental programs, as a senior executive with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and in senior positions with several major government contractors. He earned degrees from Cornell University, the University of Washington, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Today, he uses this experience to lead BGS in supporting nuclear technology, alternative energy technology, information and infrastructure security, and environmental management activities. BGS advances missions of national importance for government programs, national laboratories, national security facilities, and nuclear operations to support our nation’s security and competitiveness.
Dr. Boston and BGS support our schools, charitable organizations, healthcare providers, community groups, and neighbors. Dr. Boston has taught at Knoxville College and Tennessee State University and has worked with Historically Black Colleges and Universities through the National Urban League. He is committed to supporting minority businesses and educational opportunities. Most recently he has partnered with East Tennessee PBS to promote STEM education with online programming during the COVID Pandemic.
