The Health, Educational and Housing Facility Board of the County of Knox (County HEB) performs public functions on behalf of Knox County as authorized under state law. the County HEB undertakes the issuance of revenue bonds to finance hospital, education and multi-family housing projects.

Board Member News

Board Member Tyvi Small has been named permanent Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Engagement at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville.  Tyvi accepted the interim position in January, 2019.

In making Tyvi’s appointment permanent, University Chancellor Plowman said “Tyvi has proven himself to be a compassionate, thoughtful, and creative leader who has built strong relationships based on trust and respect across our campus and the broader community.”

We are pleased and honored to have Tyvi serve on this Board of Directors.

Board of Directors

The County HEB is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors, elected by the Knox County Commission. The County HEB does not have employees, and administrative and management services for the County HEB are provided by The Development Corporation of Knox County.
